Full-Time SEN HLTA – Outstanding Primary School (Reception to Year 2) – Birmingham

Location: Birmingham
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, ASAP start (long-term or permanent for the right candidate)

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN HLTA to join our team. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils with additional needs across Reception to Year 2, ensuring they access the curriculum fully and develop both academically and socially.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN in class and through targeted interventions
  • Assisting with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress
  • Supporting behaviour management and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and SENCO to ensure pupils’ needs are met

What We’re Looking For

  • HLTA qualified with experience supporting pupils with SEN
  • Experience across early years and KS1 (Reception to Year 2)
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiation
  • Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
