Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Job description
This Teaching Assistant role is focused on supporting learners and helping maintain a positive learning environment. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Where the work sits
This role is varied and will involve supporting children in the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis starting May 2026 for at least the academic year Part Time to 2027. At this school, children and teachers alike share a vibrant vision of success for everyone.

What needs to be in place
- Have recent experience supporting children aged 5-11.
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification to a Level 3 or above EYP/QTS is acceptable.
- Have experience delivering the Read, Write, Inc Phonics scheme.
