Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Higher Level Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting the educational, social and emotional development of pupils in line with their education, health.

What the role involves

• Supporting the educational, social and emotional development of pupils in line with their Education, Health.
• Assess pupil needs and use specialist knowledge to support learning and achievement across all areas of development.
• Record and evaluate pupil progress, adapting activities and interventions to meet individual needs.
• Deliver engaging lessons, intervention programmes and learning activities that motivate and inspire pupils.
• Preparing learning resources and effectively manage the learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, health professionals and other school staff to ensure a joined-up approach to pupil support.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

• Position: Full-Time, Term Time Only.
• However, applications are also welcomed from candidates who are passionate about SEND and keen to develop their skills and expertise within a specialist setting.
