  • Deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Supporting students’ wider academic and personal development through pastoral responsibilities.
  • Attend department meetings, parents’ evenings and school events as required.

Skills and requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
