Home Care Assistant

Care Assistant focuses on we provide care to our clients from 8 in the morning until 9:30 at night, but you won't be expected to work all of these hours.

• We provide care to our Clients from 8 in the morning until 9:30 at night, but you won't be expected to work all of these hours.
• Being a Home Care Assistant is an essential role, supporting our Clients to live well at home.
• With the support of our team and industry leading training, you can feel fully equipped to deliver the high-quality care Home Instead has become known for.

Skills and requirements

• The right candidate for this role will need to be available some weekdays, plus every other weekend.
• No previous care assistant experience is needed, just your natural caring qualities.
• We will support you with full training, shadow shifts and introductions to all your new clients.
• Having a full, UK driver's licence and your own car is essential due to some tasks that may be involved like shopping trips, taking to appointments, and travelling between client v.

Confirmed role details

• From £13.40 to £15.20 per hour, plus paid mileage and travel time on top. We also pay double time on Bank Holidays.
• Minimum 1 hour calls – giving you the time to care.
• Which can build to full-time if desired.
• Full induction programme where we provide in depth training, plus other opportunities to develop your career.

Candidate fit

• Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and medication to keep them healthy and independent.

Additional role context

• All we ask is that you have the same availability every other weekend as well.
