Delivery Driver focuses on driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in a great condition.

What the role involves

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in a great condition.
• Clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions.
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.
• Provide market-leading benefits and training to reflect that.
• Wellbeing support – including free access to our Employee Assistance Programme which is a confidential service providing support and guidance on a wide range of issues.

Skills and requirements

• Friendly and welcoming with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and to provide the best doorstep experience.
• You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
• To support this commitment, our colleagues may be entitled to a range of enhanced discretionary leave for families, as well as support for carers.
• We provide our colleagues resources to help them understand.

Confirmed role details

• Discount card – 10% off at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Tu, and Habitat after four weeks, increasing to 15% discount at Sainsbury’s every Friday and Saturday, and 15% off at Argos every pay.

• Comfortable in learning to use new digital tools and technology to do your job brilliantly, and moving shopping containers up to 15KG.
