Human Factors Engineer focuses on as a human factors specialist supporting the trinity programme, you will report to the hfi manager.

What the role involves

  • As a Human Factors Specialist supporting the TRINITY programme, you will report to the HFI Manager.
  • Assist them in delivering User-Centred Design and Integration activities.
  • Working with other engineering functions and disciplines to support their tasks.
  • Supporting Vigilant lead HFI specialist in the conduct of human factors activities and integration of HF into the TRINITY design.
  • Work with end user groups and HF stakeholders in workshops, trials and User-Centred Design activities.
  • Assess prototypes/mock-ups of TRINITY hardware and software solutions.

Skills and requirements

  • A recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology or Engineering (with specific Human Factors Experience).
  • Registered membership of the Chartered Institute of Human Factors (or eligibility for CIEHF Chartership via an equivalent body).

Candidate fit

  • technical judgement, safe working habits, careful diagnostics, and practical problem-solving

Additional role context

  • Anthropometric assessment and workspace/workstation design.
  • This could include assessing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf equipment against system requirements.
  • Engaging with users to understand their goals and tasks.
