Hydraulic Specialist (Water)
Hydraulic Specialist focuses on work with multi-disciplinary teams within aecom and externally to develop solutions.
What the role involves
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams within AECOM and externally to develop solutions.
- Preparing high-quality technical reports, clearly documenting model assumptions.
- Build processes, results, and uncertainties.
- Supporting project delivery tasks, including preparation of hydraulic profiles and working with other disciplines to help develop detailed design drawings.
- Use company project management systems to help deliver work on time and within budget.
- We support a wide range of clients, including local government, water companies, and private developers.
Skills and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate subject (e.g. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering).
- Experience in open channel hydraulic design, including sub critical and super critical flow and hydraulic jumps.
- Experience with design of hydraulic structures, including weirs and flumes.
- Gravity pipe and pressure pipe design experience.
