What the role involves

  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams within AECOM and externally to develop solutions.
  • Preparing high-quality technical reports, clearly documenting model assumptions.
  • Build processes, results, and uncertainties.
  • Supporting project delivery tasks, including preparation of hydraulic profiles and working with other disciplines to help develop detailed design drawings.
  • Use company project management systems to help deliver work on time and within budget.
  • We support a wide range of clients, including local government, water companies, and private developers.

Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate subject (e.g. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering).
  • Experience in open channel hydraulic design, including sub critical and super critical flow and hydraulic jumps.
  • Experience with design of hydraulic structures, including weirs and flumes.
  • Gravity pipe and pressure pipe design experience.
