Imaging Junior Sister/Charge Nurse focuses on provide leadership within the speciality collaborating with the mdt to deliver individualised and personalised direct patient care.

What the role involves

• Provide leadership within the speciality collaborating with the MDT to deliver individualised and personalised direct patient care.
• Independently manage a group of patients.
• Ensure patient is adequately prepared and safe for the agreed interventional procedure.
• Demonstrate adequate practice and specialist knowledge in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care. This will include history taking, physical examination, eval.
• Adequate assessment and specialist care of the conscious – sedated patient. Responsible and correct administration within line with local and trust policies of conscious sedation.
• Care of post anaesthetic patients including level 2 patients. Ensure safe and effective care for complex patients.

Skills and requirements

• Do you have 2 years or more experience in a critical care setting and at least one years’ experience in Radiology Nursing?
• Registered General nurse (level 1).
• Degree in Nursing.
• Teaching Qualification or equivalent experience.
