What the role involves
- Chair Looked After Child (LAC) reviews, ensuring care plans meet statutory requirements and promote positive outcomes.
- Monitoring and track progress against care plans, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Ensure the voice of the child is central to all decision-making processes.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Provide professional challenge and oversight to ensure compliance with legislation and guidance.
- Maintaining accurate records and produce high-quality reports following reviews.
Skills and requirements
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Post-qualified experience in children’s services, ideally in an IRO role.
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
- Free DBS and compliance service.
