What the role involves

• Chair Looked After Child (LAC) reviews, ensuring care plans meet statutory requirements and promote positive outcomes.
• Monitoring and track progress against care plans, escalating concerns where necessary.
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all decision-making processes.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children.
• Provide professional challenge and oversight to ensure compliance with legislation and guidance.
• Maintaining accurate records and produce high-quality reports following reviews.

Skills and requirements

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Post-qualified experience in children’s services, ideally in an IRO role.
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
• Free DBS and compliance service.
