  • Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate and experienced Intervention Tutor to provide 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged students (KS3/KS4) across Manchester.
  • · Deliver engaging, personalised Maths and English sessions tailored to students age, ability, and learning needs.
  • · Support the development of communication, social skills, and emotional regulation using evidence-based SEN strategies.
  • · Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence, aligned with EHCP targets.
  • · Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet individual needs.
  • · Support engagement with education, including exam preparation, functional skills, or alternative pathways.

Skills and requirements

  • · Minimum 6 months experience working with students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • · Strong understanding of the KS3/KS4 curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
  • · Ability to build positive, professional relationships using age-appropriate and respectful approaches.
  • · Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
