IR Deputy Lead
IR Deputy Lead focuses on maintain a positive culture of employee relations across the meh programme and minimising industrial disputes as far as practicable.
What the role involves
- Maintain a positive culture of employee relations across the MEH Programme and minimising industrial disputes as far as practicable.
- Take the lead, involving MEHJV partners, in addressing and resolving disputes and industrial action, official and unofficial, on behalf of MEH.
- Ensure compliance with the MEH IR strategy and policies.
- Take the lead for MEH in external discussions on the implementation and spirit and intent of the Sector Agreements and Social Covenant.
- Engage the site IR team and local site convenors and shop stewards to identify and anticipate brewing issues and intervene to resolve and avoid escalation.
- Ensure MEH complies with all the relevant employment regulations.
Skills and requirements
- Degree or equivalent - Relevant Professional Qualification – preferably CIPD Qualified.
- Minimum of 5 years Industrial Relations experience in a management role working in an industrial unionised environment.
- Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
- Can demonstrate previous record of success in their discipline.
