IT Support Technician required. My client is an outstanding IT support firm who provide IT services, telecoms and document solutions to businesses focusing on building long term relationships with our customers and operating as your outsourced best practice IT in-house department.
They are now seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join their friendly team based in Southampton to support their base of small & medium-sized business clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate drive & determination, and should have a proven track record of successfully addressing IT and Comms issues.
Position Overview – IT Support Technician
Providing excellent customer service – building rapport
Meeting established Service Level Agreements or turnaround times
Identify, troubleshoot. and document user issues & fixes
Working with colleagues and occasionally with vendors to resolve customer problems
Maintaining accurate records including timesheets
Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and undertake ongoing training
Resolving day to day IT issues
Occasionally travelling on-site to resolve issues Position Requirements – IT Support Technician
Full UK clean driving license
Minimum 3 years service desk experience
To hold a microsoft qualification / excellent knowledge of Microsoft software (Office 365)
Active Directory knowledge
Basic networking knowledge (IP Addresses, DNHS, DHCP)
Understanding remote access (VPN & two factor authentication)
Understanding of desktop security and anti-virus solutions
Good understanding of software builds, and hardware / printers
Excellent communication skills & ability to work on their own initiative Position Remuneration – IT Support Technician
Monday to Friday – full time
Salary £22,000 – £25,000 (DOE)
20 days holiday plus bank holidays & additional day off on your birthday
Parking & mileage payed for (customer visits)
