What the role involves

  • Technical Support: Respond to helpdesk tickets, providing hardware and software support for desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and interactive whiteboards.
  • Network Maintenance: Assist in the management of the school’s LAN/WAN infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity and server health checks.
  • User Management: Manage user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • Classroom Readiness: Ensure all AV equipment in classrooms and assembly halls is fully functional for daily use.
  • Security & Compliance: Assist with regular data backups, anti-virus updates, and ensuring GDPR compliance across all school systems.
  • Modern Infrastructure: Work with a mix of Windows and ChromeOS environments, supported by a robust high-speed network.

Skills and requirements

  • Line technical support across the school site.
  • Proven experience in a technical support role (experience within an educational setting is highly desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, ChromeOS, and MacOS.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and cloud-based platforms (M365/Google Workspace).
