KS1 Teacher focuses on deliver sequenced ks1 lessons that secure phonics progression, reading fluency and early number skills.

What the role involves

• Deliver sequenced KS1 lessons that secure phonics progression, reading fluency and early number skills.
• Monitor impact and refine approaches to accelerate learning across Slough.
• Leading small-group and one-to-one interventions.
• Ensure continuity of learning between Reception and Year 1 and from Year 2 into KS2.
• Support inclusive practice in the KS1 phase.
• Work with TAs to scaffold learning, adapt resources.

Skills and requirements

• The KS1 Teacher will teach flexibly across Key Stage 1 classes as required.

Candidate fit

• Qualified teacher with clear KS1 experience and the flexibility to teach across Year 1 and Year 2.
• Strong pedagogy for early reading and early mathematics, with experience delivering targeted interventions.
• Able to start January 2026.
