Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship focuses on control stock levels of samples store and dispose of them as required.

What the role involves

• Control stock levels of samples store and dispose of them as required.
• Maintaining laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating needed supplies.
• Reporting defects with laboratory equipment to management including timeframes for repair and/or replacement.
• Preparing and send samples to third party labs, when necessary, as directed.
• To assist the Chemists with sampling of waste on arrival.
• As part of this Level 3 Laboratory Technician apprenticeship, you’ll learn how to carry out tests.

Skills and requirements

• Over 20 months, you’ll combine day-to-day experience in your role with structured training delivered by expert tutors at Tiro.
• To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate that the program will provide learning and experiences beyond their current qualifications and professional expertise.
• Need to be over 16, not in Full Time education, have lived in the UK for 3 years and have the right to work in the UK.
