Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician focuses on stock management - daily consumable replenishment at the point of use, utilising site inventory system.

What the role involves

• Stock management - daily consumable replenishment at the point of use, utilising site inventory system.
• Routine decontamination of incubators, water baths, cell counter, class II cabinets, water purification units and other equipment relevant to site.
• Calibration of pH meters and counterbalances.
• Management of pipette inventory and organisation of calibration schedules.
• Aseptic aliquoting of reagents used in tissue culture & basic media preparation.
• Laboratory housekeeping – tidying stock rooms, cleaning sinks, waste management (biological, chemical & radioactive).

Skills and requirements

• Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.
