Laboratory Technician
Laboratory Technician focuses on stock management - daily consumable replenishment at the point of use, utilising site inventory system.
What the role involves
- Stock management - daily consumable replenishment at the point of use, utilising site inventory system.
- Routine decontamination of incubators, water baths, cell counter, class II cabinets, water purification units and other equipment relevant to site.
- Calibration of pH meters and counterbalances.
- Management of pipette inventory and organisation of calibration schedules.
- Aseptic aliquoting of reagents used in tissue culture & basic media preparation.
- Laboratory housekeeping – tidying stock rooms, cleaning sinks, waste management (biological, chemical & radioactive).
Skills and requirements
- Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.
