What the role involves
- Leading electrical engineering activity across product and system development programmes.
- Work at the core of engineering and product development teams, using engineering tools and structured methods to deliver solutions from ambiguous requirements.
- Resolve engineering issues by identifying the most effective technical solution.
- Take accountability for technical elements of product system/subsystem design, including risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation where required.
- Driving modularity and standardisation to maximise reuse and efficiency across engineering programmes.
- Review and approve technical reports and documentation generated by the engineering team.
Skills and requirements
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelors minimum.
- Masters desirable) or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience in electrical engineering product design and development within a relevant engineering sector.
- Proven experience coordinating projects, applying governance methods, and leading engineering teams.
Confirmed role details
- Monday to Friday - early finish on Fridays at 1pm.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet requirements, safety standards, regulatory directives, and cost targets.
