What the role involves

• Leading electrical engineering activity across product and system development programmes.
• Work at the core of engineering and product development teams, using engineering tools and structured methods to deliver solutions from ambiguous requirements.
• Resolve engineering issues by identifying the most effective technical solution.
• Take accountability for technical elements of product system/subsystem design, including risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation where required.
• Driving modularity and standardisation to maximise reuse and efficiency across engineering programmes.
• Review and approve technical reports and documentation generated by the engineering team.

Skills and requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelors minimum.
• Masters desirable) or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in electrical engineering product design and development within a relevant engineering sector.
• Proven experience coordinating projects, applying governance methods, and leading engineering teams.

Confirmed role details

• Monday to Friday - early finish on Fridays at 1pm.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet requirements, safety standards, regulatory directives, and cost targets.
