Lead Professional Midwifery Advocate focuses on coordinate our growing team of sessional pma's.

What the role involves

  • Coordinate our growing team of sessional PMA's.
  • The lead PMA will utilise the four key elements of the NHSE A-EQUIP (Advocating for Education and Quality Improvement) model to facilitate clear direction and coordination of the P.
  • Develop a culture of support enabling midwives across all areas to provide high quality care, identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Support create thinking spaces, encouraging reflective conversation sessions and open and honest feedback.
  • Support the delivery of a high standard of ethical, safe and effective midwifery care.
  • The lead PMA will work with the wider maternity teams to influence strategies that support midwifery recruitment and retention, enhance individual performance.
