Lead Technician focuses on first military recruitment are currently seeking a lead technician on behalf of one of our clients.

What the role involves

• First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Lead Technician on behalf of one of our clients.
• To lead the mechanical engineering operation.
• Dealing with bus servicing, breakdowns, inspections and diagnosing faults, specifying the correct method and length of time it may take to repair.
• To be flexible in respect of working hours to ensure commitments to operational requirements are fulfilled.
• Remain up to date with any new engineering or health and safety legislation.
• To be fully up to date with individual bus history paying particular attention to reoccurring defects prior to carrying out the bus inspection.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds Level 1&2) in an engineering field.
• Capability to multi-skill within an engineering environment.
• A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain a PCV licence is essential, our client will help you gain this qualification.
• Experience of working with buses, coaches and HGV vehicles.
