Learning Disability Nurse focuses on conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process.
What the role involves
- Conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process.
- Conducting remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom.
- Attending the Exeter clinic base for in-person assessments (minimum 1-2 days per week).
Skills and requirements
- NMC registered Learning Disability Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments with children and young people OR adults.
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
Confirmed role details
- Permanent (Full-Time and Part-Time Available).
- Hybrid (Minimum 1-2 days in office).
- Competitive salary based on experience (£30,000 - £55,000 per annum), with annual salary reviews and pension contributions.
