Learning Mentor- SEN/SEMH Schools
The Job position centres on supporting students’ academic engagement and emotional development. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
How the role is set up
We are recruiting passionate and driven Learning Mentors to work across a variety of SEN and SEMH schools in Chorley and Skelmersdale, starting in September 2026. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Learning support involved
Supporting students’ academic engagement and emotional development. Help pupils develop social skills, resilience, and self-regulation strategies. Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies.
Education skills and requirements
- Previous experience in schools, alternative provisions.
- Understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed approaches.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Job details
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- Additional detail: Training or development support may be provided.
