Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Job description
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), the work centres on supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting to individual learning styles. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with children and families to the role.
Who the work supports
Provide tailored support both 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils to access learning, build independence and develop essential social and emotional skills. Play a key part in creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom where pupils feel encouraged and able to engage positively with their education.
How support shows up
Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, adapting to individual learning styles. Supporting pupils who communicate differently or need additional emotional regulation support. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and staff.

- Previous experience working with children or young people, experience within SEN settings is desirable but not essential.
