Learning Support Assistant
Teaching Assistant focuses on supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups.
What the role involves
- Supporting pupils’ learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups.
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation of resources.
- Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN).
- Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
- Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Skills and requirements
- Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable).
- A patient, supportive, and positive approach.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
