What the role involves

• Provide individual and small-group support for pupils with PMLD, MLD, and SLD.
• Assisting teachers with adapting classroom activities to meet complex learning needs.
• Supporting pupils with personal development, routines, and structured learning activities.
• Work closely with teaching staff and specialist teams to promote pupil progress.
• Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience supporting pupils with PMLD, MLD, or SLD is desirable.
• Good understanding of additional learning needs and inclusive support strategies.
• Support methods to suit individual pupils.
• Calm, patient, and caring approach when working with pupils with complex needs.
