Learning Support Assistant focuses on working independently and as part of a team, you will support children and young people to access highly personalised programmes of study, with the aim of helping them to achieve t.

What the role involves

  • Working independently and as part of a team, you will support children and young people to access highly personalised programmes of study, with the aim of helping them to achieve t.
  • Need to be enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative, have a drive and resilience for what is often a demanding role.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

Confirmed role details

  • 36 days generous annual leave entitlement (pro rata).
  • For more than 40 years we’ve led the way in providing autism-specific care and education for children, young people, and adults across the North-East of England.
  • This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
  • As such it will be necessary for a enhanced Disclosure submission to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
