Job description
This Learning Support Assistant role with Five Education is focused on providing 1:1 and small group support, helping to make the curriculum accessible and engaging. It would suit someone who can bring encourage positive behaviour and social interaction through praise and consistency to the role.
How the role is set up
Five Education is seeking a number of teaching assistants to work 1:1 with SEND students at an excellent secondary school in Plymouth, starting in September. The school has great feedback from our candidates previously placed there, and the staff are very supportive and welcoming.
Where someone would start
Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping to make the curriculum accessible and engaging. Promote independence, confidence and self-regulation in students. Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCo and other staff to meet individual needs.

Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction through praise and consistency.
What is expected
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:20–15:20 (term-time only).
- Support acquiring a DBS (and refunded after you've worked with us for 20 days).
