The Learning Support Assistant position centres on dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist education setting in Salisbury, supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) need. This is a role for someone who understands that progress isn’t just academic — it’s emotional, relational and personal. Provide consistent 1:1 or small-group support, helping pupils re-engage with learning.

Job details
- In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced trauma, anxiety or disrupted education.
- Support pupils to regulate emotions and behaviour, using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies.
- All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
