This Learning Support Practitioner opportunity with HMP The Mount is built around based at HMP The Mount, you will manage a caseload of learners, carry out initial screening activity and develop Individual Learning Support plans. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with learners to the role.

Where someone would start
Based at HMP The Mount, you will manage a caseload of learners, carry out initial screening activity and develop Individual Learning Support plans. Promote an effective and inclusive learning environment, providing support to learners both in a classroom or workshop environment and on a one to one basis. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with our Prison Education team, providing support to learners with neurodiverse and inclusion needs.
What is expected
- You should have relevant and recent experience in a similar role within a learning environment and hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 Learning Support qualification.
- You should be able to demonstrate experience of working within a Special Educational Needs field and experience of positively interacting with people in an educational or support s.
- Relevant teaching, instruction, or learner-support experience.
