Lecturer in Travel and Tourism

The Lecturer in Travel and Tourism position with Newcastle and Stafford College Sites centres on to teach and assess on courses including the BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Travel and Tourism and the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma’s in Travel. It would suit someone who can bring warm, steady communication with learners to the role.

Who the work supports

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. Location: Positions Available at Newcastle and Stafford College Sites.

How support shows up

To teach and assess on courses including the BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Travel and Tourism and the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma’s in Travel. Play an active role in the marketing of the College and the Department through such activities as open days and through liaison with local employers and schools. Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible l.

What needs to be in place

• 52 Days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays & Christmas Closure).
• Ideally has relevant teaching experience within the FE sector.
• Has a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE (PCET) or equivalent) or willingness to train for one.
