Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Level 2 Teaching Assistant focuses on to provide 1:1 and small interventions as directed by the senco.
What the role involves
- To provide 1:1 and small interventions as directed by the SENCo.
- Understanding the special needs of the student(s). To bring experience and knowledge to meeting the student(s) needs.
- To support the students in achieving agreed targets as outlined on their Learning Plans.
- Taking into account the special needs involved, to support student progress across the curriculum.
- To establish a supportive relationship with the student(s) concerned.
- To assist students with completion of homework.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.

- The salary is Leicestershire County Grade 5, Points 7-8 Actual Salary £17,471.00 - £17,748.00 approximately (Full Time Equivalent £25,191.00 - £25,590.00).

Additional role context
- Work Monday to Friday 8.15am - 2.45pm which is 30 hours per week for 39 weeks (term-time plus 5 teacher training days).
