Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Burnley
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm / Monday – Friday
Salary: £14.25 - £14.85 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning across the classroom and may work with individuals or small groups, including pupils with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
  • Work with individuals and small groups to support progress and raise attainment
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND, including implementing support plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and create a calm, inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and pastoral development
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children of primary school age
  • A good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
