What the role involves
- Conduct detailed condition surveys of lift and escalator equipment at client sites across the country.
- Inspect lift components including control systems, safety devices, structural elements, and mechanical parts.
- Preparing accurate and detailed survey reports, including photographic evidence and recommendations for maintenance or repairs.
- Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant safety standards, legislation, and company procedures.
- Liaise with clients and site personnel to coordinate inspection schedules.
- Maintaining detailed records of inspections, findings, and follow-up actions.
Skills and requirements
- Proven experience as a Lift Engineer, Lift Inspector, or similar role.
- Knowledge of lift and escalator systems, components, and safety standards (e.g., LOLER, BS EN 81).
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
- Manage time effectively across multiple locations.
Confirmed role details
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Provide detailed reports to support maintenance planning and safety compliance.
