Lighting Designer/Engineer focuses on each team member has a development plan to provide a clear pathway to personal development and career progression.

What the role involves

  • Each team member has a development plan to provide a clear pathway to personal development and career progression.
  • Assisting in the programming & delivery of street lighting projects, and the street lighting design process complying with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Exercise a basic working knowledge of CDM and Electricity at Work Regulations.
  • Support across multi-disciplinary projects, from conceptual stages to implementation.
  • Provide technical knowledge.
  • Have a working knowledge of electrical/lighting/cabling calculation software.

Skills and requirements

  • Ideally, you possess or are working towards an ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma or possess an equivalent qualification in a related technical field.
  • Design Experience: Demonstrated success in a design environment, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Software Proficiency: knowledge and use of industry-standard software, including Lighting Reality, AGi32, Dialux, and Amtech Pro Design to create and assess detailed lighting schem.
