Locally Employed Doctor – Simulation Fellowship in Anaesthesia (CT3+)
Job description
As a Locally Employed Doctor, the work centres on all rota’s are EWTD compliant in line with the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract and 2019 amendments to this contract. It would suit someone who can bring we’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 3) and a Veteran Aware Trust to the role.
Who the work supports
The post is available from August 2026 for 12 months and is intended for anaesthetists with a strong interest in Simulation and Medical Education. •Completed at least two years Foundation training at FY1 and FY2 level in a relevant training programme.

All rota’s are EWTD compliant in line with the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract and 2019 amendments to this contract. The department manages 3 tiers of cover – Theatres, Obstetrics and ITU. We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 3) and a Veteran Aware Trust. The 2021 RCoA Anaesthetics curriculum will be followed. Call rotas covering CEPOD, Intensive Care and Labour ward and there will be an opportunity to work in all areas of clinical anaesthesia during this post.
What needs to be in place
- 2 years' experience in anaesthetics including solo obstetric anaesthesia.
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
- Breadth of experience in and outside specialty.
