Logistics and Distributions Operative focuses on inspect, and accurately record incoming stock (materials, consumables, and equipment).

What the role involves

• Inspect, and accurately record incoming stock (materials, consumables, and equipment).
• Picking stock accurately based on order requests, ensuring correct product, quantity and batch/lot information where applicable.
• Update stock levels using warehouse/inventory systems.
• Packing goods safely and securely, following handling guidelines for fragile, hazardous, temperature-controlled or regulated materials.
• Report discrepancies to the Central Stores and Warehouse Manager.
• Delivering goods to multiple buildings across the institute according to scheduled routes or ad hoc requests.

Skills and requirements

• Demonstrable experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Experience with ERP/WMS software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
• Forklift or pallet truck certification.

Confirmed role details

• £25,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience) + travel allowance + bonus.
• Start time could change to 6:00am, dependent on business demand & urgent turnarounds across the campus & institutes.
