Machine Customisation Engineer focuses on carry out bodywork paint touch-ups to manufacturer standards.

What the role involves

  • Carry out bodywork paint touch-ups to manufacturer standards.
  • Resolve faults, escalating where required.
  • Carry out repairs and replace parts as needed.
  • Install and calibrate 3DMG systems on Komatsu excavators.
  • Install and calibrate systems such as X-Watch, Safety Shield and Tilt Rotators.
  • Set up attachment flows and pressures for customer equipment.

Skills and requirements

  • Mechanical experience, including installations and basic electrics.
  • Experience working with heavy construction plant machinery, including hydraulic excavators.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft D365 or similar systems).
