What the role involves
- Responsible for maintaining department KPI’s (5s, scrap reduction, inventory, safety and productivity) to factory set targets for the department with increased responsibility for d.
- Responsible for daily/weekly asset care checks on all machinery and recording for maintenance records.
- Assisting in the maintenance of department tooling and equipment, identify and where possible remedy minor repairs to machinery.
- Carry out all duties necessary to achieve department goals, production targets and forecasts.
- Must have a flexible approach to shift working and overtime, which may include weekend cover during production peaks, colleague holidays and periods of absence.
- To carry out general duties when requested to do so.
Skills and requirements
- Previous experience of plant operated machines, Grinders, CNC machines, Press, Heat Treatment etc, fork/pallet truck, cranes and lifting equipment.
- The ability to make adjustment to machines throughout the manufacture process.
- Scrap recording, asset care sheets, shift logbook, changeover sheets.
- 6-10 weeks basic, then on going to development on all tooling and machines which should take up to 12 months dependant on experience.
