What the role involves

  • Develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

  • Diagnose breakdown problems, including electrical, electronic and mechanical issues.
  • Fit new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
  • Flexibility- weekend maintenance works- ad hoc.
  • Assisting with any general maintenance and upkeep of the bakery carrying out general site maintenance, including woodwork, painting, building fabric maintenance, make do and mend proj.

Skills and requirements

  • Time served electrical qualifications.
  • General level of education GCSE or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

Candidate fit

  • technical judgement, safe working habits, fault finding, and practical repair discipline

Additional role context

  • Repair faults on all electrical installations, plant, machinery and equipment Onsite.
  • Multi-Skilled Technician who has an electrical bias and a good mechanical aptitude with the ability to service, diagnose.
