Maintenance Engineer
Job description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineers to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment, while contributing to the achievement of site performance targets. This role is based in the Markham Vale site in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, UK. The role operates on a 12 hour day shift (7am-7pm) on a 2 week rotating cycle, typically working a mix of 2 and 3 consecutive days with rest days in between. Due to the rotation, the role includes working every other weekend. On call cover is only required to support absence cover for the other maintenance engineer (. during holiday). Shift and on-call allowances are provided, with the shift allowance set at 22% of base salary.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment in line with operational and maintenance standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all legal and company requirements.
Working within a collaborative Maintenance team, you will carry out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance, support projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
