Maintenance Engineer
Maintenance Engineer focuses on supporting the continuous operation of site machinery and equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hvac disciplines.
What the role involves
- Supporting the continuous operation of site machinery and equipment across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
- Use internal systems to log maintenance activity, including PUWER risk assessments.
- Ensure clear communication back to the Production Engineering Manager.
- Coordinating with contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with standards.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.
Confirmed role details
- £38,000–£40,000 + bonus.
- Cover both planned preventative maintenance and reactive work, from day-to-day repairs through to fault diagnosis and longer-term improvements across the site.
