What the role involves

• Maintaining Production Lines : Ensure smooth operation of production lines, including ovens, mixers, sheeters, and packaging equipment, to minimize downtime.
• Scheduled Maintenance : Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all production and packaging machinery to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Emergency Response : Provide quick-response support during machinery breakdowns, conducting fault diagnosis and repairs to minimize production disruption.
• Compliance and Safety : Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards in all maintenance activities, as well as maintaining accurate maintenance logs a.
• Collaboration : Work closely with production and packaging teams to ensure machine availability and productivity goals are met.

Skills and requirements

• Have hands-on experience working with bakery machinery and production line operations, ensuring the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment, ideally within a bakery or food production setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a production environment.
• Electrical qualification (e.g., 17th/18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations).

Additional role context

• Resolve technical issues promptly with bakery machinery, including Multivac Thermoformers, dough mixers, and associated equipment.
• Suggest and implement improvements to machinery, processes, and maintenance procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Familiarity with production line operations and associated mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
