JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Skilled Technician who has an electrical bias and a good mechanical aptitude with the ability to service, diagnose and repair faults on all electrical installations, plant, machinery and equipment on site.

Working as a Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Skilled Technician your role will be varied but has a bias towards electrical maintenance, and as such you will be responsible for the provision of reactive and planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems, installation and testing in order to ensure continuous running of equipment and machinery.

As a Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Skilled Technician your role will include the need to perform on tasks outside of the electrical field along with working with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Skilled Technician will include:

  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenances and respond to equipment faults for all electrical installations, plant, machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose breakdown problems, including electrical, electronic and mechanical issues
  • Fit new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
  • Flexibility- weekend maintenance works- ad hoc
  • Assist with any general maintenance and upkeep of the bakery carrying out general site maintenance, including woodwork, painting, building fabric maintenance, make do and mend projects
  • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    Essential:

  • Time served electrical qualifications
  • General level of education GCSE or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel etc
  • Good Mechanical aptitude
  • Flexibility to work double days shift pattern Monday to Friday
  • Desirable:

  • 17th / 18th wiring regulations edition
  • Ability and knowledge to help maintain the upkeep of the site
  • Previous experience working in a bakery manufacturing environment servicing and maintaining the process and packing machines. , Mixers, Rotary moulders, conveyors, Flow wrap and Carton erectors
  • Understand the requirements of external and internal audits and to comply with current legalisation
