Manufacturing Engineering Manager focuses on overseeing manufacturing engineering activities across process flow, layout, equipment specification and implementation in line with readiness processes.

What the role involves

  • Overseeing Manufacturing Engineering activities across process flow, layout, equipment specification and implementation in line with readiness processes.
  • Ensure successful completion of new equipment acceptance and validation.
  • Liaise with customers and internal functions to support feasibility, problem resolution and product introduction.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Engineers are actively engaged in NPI and launch delivery.
  • Supporting structured problem‑solving (e.g. 8D), ensuring robust root cause and corrective actions.
  • Ensure processes and equipment are designed to build in quality and detect issues at source.

Skills and requirements

  • Ensure effective deployment of skills through training matrices, certification and capability development.
  • Prior experience of management of a multi-skilled team of Manufacturing Engineers, preferably within an Automotive/FMCG environment.
  • Degree level education within a Managerial.
  • Experience of leading CI projects and initiatives.
