Marine Compliance Manager & Deputy DPA
Job description
As a Security Officer, the work centres on draft and manage safety-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments. It would suit someone who can bring chief Mate Unlimited (or higher) Certificate of Competency to the role.
Where ownership sits
Support the ongoing development and management of the Safety Management System (SMS) in line with ISM Code requirements. Lead and support incident investigations, drive corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement.
What the role carries
Draft and manage safety-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk assessments. Conduct and coordinate internal ISM and ISPS audits. Act as Deputy DPA and Deputy Company Security Officer, including out-of-hours coverage.
What helps the work land well
Chief Mate Unlimited (or higher) Certificate of Competency.
What the role depends on
- Shore-based maritime compliance or SMS experience preferred.
- Knowledge of specialised ship types or marine aggregate industry is advantageous.
- Relevant flight qualifications, licensing, or type-rated readiness where required.
