Materials Manager focuses on manage all materials, stores, and inventory operations to support maintenance delivery and fleet availability.

What the role involves

• Manage all materials, stores, and inventory operations to support maintenance delivery and fleet availability.
• Ensure robust stock control, governance, and inventory accuracy across all materials and tooling.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to the materials team, driving performance, engagement, and development.
• Managing supplier and 3PL relationships to ensure service levels, cost efficiency, and value delivery.
• Overseeing tooling, calibration (IMTE), and critical asset readiness to maintain operational integrity.

Skills and requirements

• Experience within the rail industry or a safety-critical environment.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar stock/asset management systems.
• Qualifications in supply chain, logistics, or stores management.
• Annual performance-related bonus opportunity.
