What the role involves

  • Delivering engaging and inclusive teaching as part of the Youth College curriculum (GCSE Maths).
  • Supporting learners’ attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding needs.
  • Contribute to a strong pastoral and enrichment offer that prepares learners for post‑16 destinations.
  • Supporting learners to develop essential life skills, employability skills and confidence.
  • Maintaining high expectations while demonstrating empathy, consistency and professionalism.
  • When not teaching in the classroom directly, be on hand in the learner base or other Youth College classrooms to support when required by the Youth College Manager.
