Maths Teacher focuses on deliver engaging mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.

What the role involves

• Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
• Teaching a broad range of topics, including number, algebra, geometry, ratio, probability, and statistics.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, reasoning, and problem-solving skills through engaging learning activities.
• Record student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Preparing students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement.

Skills and requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience being advantageous.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
