What the role involves
- Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
- Teaching a broad range of topics, including number, algebra, geometry, ratio, probability, and statistics.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, reasoning, and problem-solving skills through engaging learning activities.
- Record student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Preparing students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement.
Skills and requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience being advantageous.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
