What the role involves
- As the M&E Clerk of Works, you will provide on‑site quality assurance, technical oversight andpliance monitoring across mechanical and electrical installations.
- Design teams, providing detailed reporting, identifying issues early and ensuring construction progresses safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
- Acting as the client’s representative, you will ensure all works meet design specifications, industry standards, statutory requirements and best practice.You will work closely with.
- Monitor M&E works Onsite to ensurepliance with drawings, specifications and regulations.
- Preparing detailed site reports, progress updates and photographic records.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants and project teams to resolve technical issues.
Skills and requirements
- Experience as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, M&E Supervisor or similar.
Confirmed role details
- This is a part-time contract position (3 days per week) with regular travel to Scotland and the South of Ireland.
- Travel expenses fully reimbursed.
- Opportunity to work with a well‑established M&E consultancy on majormercial developments.
Additional role context
- Identify defects, non‑conformances and risks, ensuring timely corrective action.
- Travel regularly to project sites across Scotland and the South of Ireland.What you'll need to succeed.
- Ideally, you will be a time-served Electrician, Plumber, Pipefitter or similar M&E trade.
