Mechanic PCV

Mechanic PCV/ focuses on carry out routine servicing, inspections, and mot preparations on pcvs/hgvs.

What the role involves

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparations on PCVs/HGVs.
• Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
• Accurately complete job cards, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure minimal downtime of vehicles.
• Supporting apprentices and less experienced engineers where required.

Skills and requirements

• Recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience working on PCVs or HGVs (dealership, fleet, or workshop background).
• Good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Flexibility to work shifts and occasional overtime.

Confirmed role details

• Position: Full Time Permanent.
• Competitive salary up to £20.50 per hour.

Candidate fit

• Repair of our fleet of PCVs to ensure they are safe, reliable, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Additional role context

• 45 Hours per week.
